Curriculum Notes

 

  1. 2020-2021 Academic Year curriculum will be applied to all students.
  2. Before enrolling in ARCH 3331 Summer Practice: Construction Site, students are required to successfully complete ISG 9110 İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği I (for foreign students ISG 9120) and 20 workdays Construction Site practice. Transfer students, who have completed their summer practice (construction site), but have not enrolled in the course, can take both ISG 9110 (for foreign students ISG 9120) and ARCH 3331 in the same semester.
  3. Before enrolling in ARCH 4431 Summer Practice: Office, students are required to complete 20 workdays Office practice.
  1. Students, who have successfully completed ARCH 3331 Summer Practice: Construction Site course as of 2018-2019 Academic Year, are exempt from ISG 9110 İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği I and ISG 9210 İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği II (for foreign students ISG 9120 and 9220).
  2. Students, who are enrolled in / or successfully completed ARCH 3320 Architectural Design IV or ARCH 4410 Architectural Design V or ARCH 4420 Architectural Design Graduation Project as of the beginning of 2018-2019 Academic Year, are exempt from ARCH 3318 Building Technologies III: Construction Project.
  3. Students, who are enrolled in / or successfully completed ARCH 4410 Architectural Design V or ARCH 4420 Architectural Design Graduation Project as of the beginning of 2018-2019 Academic Year, are exempt from ARCH 3332 Urban Planning Discourses and Practices.
  4. Students are not allowed to take any university elective courses offered in Turkish. Elective courses offered in Turkish (within 6 ECTS limits) taken from other faculties of the University before 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall Semester will be counted towards university elective credits.
  1. Successful fulfillment of the courses listed below as of 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall Semester will be counted for the fulfillment of university elective credits:
  • Non-faculty electives (including the ones in Turkish within the limits of 6 ECTS)
  • UFND courses other than those counted as the equivalent of UFND 2020, UFND 6120, ISG 9110 and/or ISG 9210.
  1. The students cannot be exempt from attendance for the courses with applied course hours in which they reenroll because of their prior failure or withdrawal.
  2. Students who undertake Erasmus Summer Practice are obliged to take ARCH 3331 Summer Practice: Construction Site or ARCH 4431 Summer Practice: Office in the Fall Semester and to fulfill the requirements of the course.
  3. Students, who successfully acquired 190 ECTS as of 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall semester, are exempt from University Elective Courses until their graduation. This item is only valid for 2018-2019 Academic Year.
  4. As of 2018-19, students with an entry year of 2008 and before will be considered eligible for graduation upon having successfully completed all courses in the curriculum and having 141 Yaşar Credits.
