Students of the Faculty of Architecture are obliged to do internship according to the Yaşar University Internship Regulations.
The internship period is 20 working days for each internship. There are two internships, construction site and office internships. (The construction site internship must be done before the Office Internship, and two internships cannot be done consecutively in the same summer term.) *
ARCH 3331 Construction Site internship: Must be done by students who have completed their 4th term. ISG9110 and ARCH2210 must be successfully completed.
ARCH 4431 Office Internship: Must be done by the students who have completed their 6th term. ARCH3310 must be successfully completed.
It is necessary to register for the internship course in the Fall Semester following the Summer Semester in which the student does their internship.
If the student fails the internship evaluation, they have the right to repeat the internship in the following semesters. If the student is not successful, they won’t be able to receive a graduation certificate.
Students are not allowed to do their internships during the education period. (Based on Faculty decisions, only the students who will graduate at the end of the relevant semester are allowed to work for at least 3 full days between certain dates during the fall/spring semester. Students must consult Internship Commission.) **
Internship process:
Student must enter the internship information on the Internship Information System (https://staj.yasar.edu.tr/index.php?lang=en). Internship days must be 20 working days. After the student has entered the internship information completely and correctly, they will send it through the system for pre-approval. During this step, they will upload a Transcript or ISG document showing that they have successfully completed the prerequisite courses for the internship.
IMPORTANT: The internship application must be made through the Internship Information System at least 7 days before the start date of the internship. Otherwise, applications will not be checked.
The information submitted for pre-approval is checked by the internship supervisors. If there is no problem, the application submitted for pre-approval is accepted. If there is a problem in the information, the application is rejected with an explanation. The student whose application is rejected has to make an update or stop applying according to the explanation. Since the updates not made on time will cause the internship start dates to be delayed, the student should follow this process well.
The student whose application submitted for pre-approval is accepted must print out the approved document and have it signed by the company where they will do the internship, and the student must also sign the form. The student must upload the signed form to the system for final approval.
The student whose signed application document is accepted can check the system before starting the internship, print out the SGK Recruitment Document that will be uploaded by the Career Center and send/give it to the company where they will do the internship.

Each work will be followed regularly during the internship, and the daily work will be recorded in the internship report. After the start of the semester; the internship report, signed and stamped on each page, will be scanned and uploaded to the Moodle page of the internship course in which the student is registered. Internship report will be written on computer in English.
After the evaluation made by the internship commission, the student is marked as either successful (S) or unsuccessful (U). No grading will be made. Unsuccessful students will repeat their internships.
